Dear Diary,
August almost went away and my holidays with it… Had mixed feelings visiting Romania in the last 2 weeks. It was a hell of a trek but it was worth it. I can actually call it an experience!
I think I haven’t been to the Black Sea since 2008. It took forever to get there. A 10 hour train trip to be more precise. Like in the old times, no change there… Seen a new place, a new beach, new people. It was good, it was relaxing, it was nice. But it was stressful, it took too long to get there and my expectations were probably too high.
In 8 years, Romania is still catching up with the West. And I think it’s a bit too slow. Bucharest got bigger, busier, noisier. Braila feels like it stopped in time somewhere 15 years ago. The seaside is caught in the 80’s. Brasov feels like it’s the only city that tries hard to go in the right direction. Keep up the good work!
But holidays are gone… Coming back to reality…
I have finished up my Web Developing course, submit my projects for assessment and now waiting for my Diploma. I enjoyed every minute of it and I am looking forward for new challenges.
The time has come… Am I ready?
